Today (19/9/2024), I had the honor of hosting a visit from Madam July Kasa Kanga Tshilombo, the esteemed Advisor in the Office of the Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), along with representatives from Equity Bank, already in the Congolese market. Our discussions focused on fostering cooperation between Meru Dairy Cooperative Union and the DRC. Madam July pledged to assist the union in its endeavor to establish the export market in Congo, saying that Meru and Congo farmers have a lot to share in the dairy value chain. This marked a significant step toward realizing our long-standing dream of entering the export market.

Collaborations and strategic linkages formed during this visit will lay a strong foundation for the successful export of our dairy products to the Congo market. This initiative promises to be mutually beneficial, bringing economic and developmental advantages to both Meru Dairy and the DRC.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Madam July and the team for their invaluable insights and support. The Meru Dairy team stands united and fully committed to this exciting venture as we move forward into this new chapter of growth and opportunity. See photos below.
